“I have to say that I have a different perspective on the "runaway bride" news story. While I understand she went about things the wrong way, I have to sympathize just a bit. Can you imagine? 500 guests? All those bridesmaids? During my pre-wedding planning, I realized that my guest list had STARTED at 350 people. Every time I discussed "the wedding," I felt like I needed a sedative. My fiancé' and I were fighting about where, when, who, and everything else. Advice came from all directions. Menus and rental agreements were all over the house. The tornado of wedding planning instantly devoured the joy of being married. So, I threw everything away and decided to find out what else was available. I have always loved the beach and thought 'Hey, why not get married on the beach?' That's when I found Seaside Beach Weddings (now known as Emerald Coast Beach Weddings, Inc.). Honestly, I decided on a package, paid the deposit, and that was the extent to my wedding planning. April took care of EVERYTHING. Friends would ask me how the planning was going. Generally, I would give them a blank stare and reply, "I guess it is going fine." Every so often I would call April and ask if I was supposed to be doing something. After all, wasn't I supposed to be starting my bridezilla metamorphosis? Every question had an answer and every detail had been taken care of. So, I picked out a dress and showed up. April was there with my flowers and all my guests were on the beach. I walked down the boardwalk into a dream. My wedding was everything I imagined. Gorgeous beach, beautiful waves, and a handsome man were waiting at the end of the boardwalk. The reception afterwards was beautiful and well planned. During pictures (by the way, the photographer was fantastic!), April made sure that all mementos and the top of my cake was packed up and ready for me to take home. All I had to do was finish pictures and go celebrate with my guests. It was perfect. My guests are still talking about it! Usually, new brides drive people crazy showing off their wedding pictures. People have requested my pictures because they have heard how cool everything was. I cannot express how much I recommend Seaside Beach Weddings (now known as Emerald Coast Beach Weddings, Inc.).
